Go Big or Go Home!

“Go Big or Go Home” it’s a simple saying that can apply to all sorts of things. A few or my friends have even applied it as a life rule when it comes to everything from athletics to eating contests. But when you think of it from an entrepreneurial standpoint it can turn itself into a phrase to work by.

“Go Big or Go Home” as an entrepreneur and blog writer it means to be better, create bigger, and surpass expectations. Tell someone you are going to do something and then do even more. Make it bigger, better and more exciting. If you don’t have the desire to go above and beyond your goal then just “Go Home!”

Our goal as an entrepreneur should be to surpass expectations at every turn. If you have a client based service with a project due on the 20th then get the project done on the 10th! If you plan to launch a new website with 5 exciting features then why not give your users 10 exciting features?

By surpassing peoples’ expectations, you begin to distinguish yourself as the go to guy; the guy that can get things done and then some. By doing this you are building a brand for not only yourself as a person, but your business as an entrepreneur.

From a business perspective your business will be thought of as one that always gives more than it offers. From a personal perspective you will be that person who always comes through and is constantly making people happy. When you become such a person, people will be naturally drawn to you and your business.

Remember to always “Go Big” with everything you do; it will pay off both personally and professionally. If you don’t have it in you to put in the extra effort to standout then just “Go Home”.
